Please read these before you book. Booking an appointment means you agree to all of it — the policies, the consent, and the payment terms.

BEFORE YOU BOOK, READ

The Policies

A MANDATORY $20 DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO SECURE YOUR DATE. DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

HOURS OF OPERATION

NON-NEGOTIABLES

  • I DO NOT WORK OVER OTHER TECH'S WORK (NO FOREIGN INFILLS).
  • NATURAL NAILS MUST BE HEALTHY AND FREE OF DAMAGE OR FUNGUS.
  • PLEASE ARRIVE WITH NAILS BARE (UNLESS YOU BOOKED A SOAK-OFF OR FILL IN).

1. Agreement

These Terms & Conditions are an agreement between you and Blessed Nails Co (“Blessed Nails Co”, “we”, “us”), a nail studio operating in Kearny, New Jersey. They apply every time you book, attend, or pay for a service with us.

By booking an appointment through this site you confirm that you have read these terms in full, that you understand them, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not book.

You confirm you are 18 or older, or that a parent or legal guardian has read and agreed to these terms on your behalf and will be present at your appointment.

2. Booking and Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of $20 is required to secure your date and time, on every booking — new client or returning. Your appointment is not held until the deposit is received.

The deposit is applied to the total cost of your service on the day. It is not a separate fee.

The deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances, including cancellation, rescheduling outside the notice period, and no-shows. This is because the time reserved for you is time that could not be offered to another client.

Prices, durations and add-ons shown at the time of booking are estimates based on the service selected. If the work required differs on the day — extra length, removal of another tech’s work, additional art — the price and time may change, and you will be told before any additional work begins.

3. Cancellations and Rescheduling

You may reschedule or cancel at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice before your appointment time.

Within 24 hours you can still reschedule or cancel — but the deposit is forfeited either way, and you will be asked to sign to confirm you understand that before it goes through.

Repeated late cancellations may result in a requirement to prepay in full for future appointments, or in being declined future bookings.

4. Late Arrivals

There is a 10-minute grace period from your scheduled start time.

Arriving more than 10 minutes late incurs a $15 late fee, payable with your balance.

Arriving more than 15 minutes late means your appointment is cancelled and your deposit is forfeited. Whether a shortened service can still be offered is at Maya’s sole discretion and depends on the day’s schedule.

5. No-Shows

Failing to attend without notice is a no-show.

A no-show incurs a fee of 50% of the remaining balance — the booked service price less the deposit you already paid — in addition to the forfeited deposit.

A no-show fee must be paid before another appointment can be booked. Until it is settled, new bookings will not go through.

Opening a second account to get around an unpaid fee is treated as an attempt to avoid it. Accounts found to belong to the same person are linked, the balance follows the person rather than the account, and both may be blocked from booking.

6. Payment and Payment Authorization

The balance of your service is due at the end of your appointment, by cash, Zelle, or card. Card payments carry a 3% service fee.

If you provide a payment method to Blessed Nails Co — whether saved at booking, given in the studio, or supplied afterwards — you authorize us to charge that payment method for: the deposit; the balance of any completed service; late fees; no-show fees; cancellation fees; and any damage or additional costs described in these terms.

You agree that a payment method you provide may be retained on file for the purposes above, and that we may charge it without further authorization for fees you have already incurred under these terms. You may withdraw that authorization in writing at any time, but doing so does not cancel fees already owed.

Card details, where collected, are handled by our payment processor. Blessed Nails Co does not store full card numbers.

Chargebacks raised for services that were provided, or for fees properly incurred under these terms, will be disputed with reference to this agreement.

7. Service Policies

These are non-negotiable and exist to protect the quality of your set and your nail health.

  • Maya does not work over another tech’s work. No foreign infills.
  • Natural nails must be healthy and free of damage, fungus, or infection.
  • Please arrive with bare nails unless you have booked a soak-off or a fill in.
  • Please arrive with clean hands and, where relevant, clean feet.
  • Bring your inspiration photo. Designs are recreated in Maya’s own style and are not guaranteed to be an exact copy.

8. Client Consent

By booking, you confirm the following:

  • I understand the nail services I am receiving today have been explained to me. I have disclosed any known allergies, medical conditions, or concerns that could affect my service.
  • I understand that while proper sanitation and safety procedures are followed, there are potential risks associated with nail services, including allergic reactions, skin irritation, nail damage, or infection.
  • I understand that the results and longevity of my nail service depend on proper aftercare and maintenance.
  • I have had the opportunity to ask questions, and all of my questions have been answered to my satisfaction.
  • I voluntarily consent to receive nail services.
  • I agree that this signature applies to this appointment and to every appointment I have with Blessed Nails Co — past, present and future — and stays in force until Blessed Nails Co publishes new terms and I sign those.
  • I confirm the details I have given are true and mine: my full name, my email address, my phone number and my real Instagram handle — all of which are required to book.

9. Health Disclosure

You must tell us before your appointment about any allergy, sensitivity, skin condition, nail condition, infection, injury, diabetes, circulatory condition, pregnancy, or medication that could affect your service or your healing.

We may decline or modify a service where we believe it is not safe to proceed. This is not a refusal of you; it is a refusal of a service that could cause harm.

We are not medical professionals and nothing said during your appointment is medical advice. If you have a nail or skin condition, please see a doctor.

10. Assumption of Risk, Release and Limitation of Liability

You acknowledge that nail services carry inherent risks, including but not limited to allergic or sensitivity reactions to products, skin irritation, redness, cuts or nicks, nail plate thinning or damage, lifting, breakage, and infection, and that these can occur even when every proper procedure is followed.

You voluntarily assume those risks and accept full responsibility for them.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless Blessed Nails Co, Maya, and anyone working with or for the studio from any claim, demand, damage, injury, loss, or expense arising out of or connected to services provided, products used, or your aftercare — except where caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct, which cannot be waived.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim connected to a service is limited to the amount you paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including missed events, travel costs, or lost earnings.

Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under New Jersey law that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Results, Aftercare and Refunds

How long your set lasts depends on aftercare, lifestyle, natural nail condition, and factors outside our control. Aftercare guidance is given so you can protect your investment.

All services are final. We do not offer refunds on completed services.

If something is wrong with your set, contact us within 3 days and we will do our best to correct our own work at no charge. Corrections outside that window, or on work altered elsewhere, are charged at the normal rate.

A change of mind about a colour, shape, or design you approved is not a fault, and is charged as a new service.

12. Personal Belongings, Guests and Children

Blessed Nails Co is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings brought to your appointment.

The studio is a small, calm space. Please come alone unless a guest is genuinely necessary.

Children may not be brought to appointments unless they are being serviced, for their safety around tools, dust, and chemicals.

Anyone behaving abusively toward Maya will be asked to leave, their service ended, and their booking privileges withdrawn. Payment for time already spent remains due.

13. Photography and Media

Maya may photograph or film your nails — hands, feet, and the work itself — for her portfolio, website, and social media.

These images do not identify you by name and do not show your face unless you have separately agreed to that.

If you would rather your nails were not photographed, tell Maya at your appointment. There is no penalty for saying no.

14. Communications

By booking you agree to receive service messages about your appointments — confirmations, reminders, changes, and cancellations — by email at the address on your account.

You may also receive occasional offers and updates. You can opt out of those at any time; you cannot opt out of messages about an appointment you have booked.

Messages sent through the client portal go directly to Maya and are treated as private between you and the studio.

15. Your Account and Your Information

An account is created for you when you book your first appointment. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity under your account.

A clear photo of yourself is required so Maya knows who is arriving. It is visible only to Maya and to you, unless you choose to leave a review, in which case your first name and photo appear alongside it.

We keep your contact details, appointment history, notes relevant to your service, and your consent record. We keep them for as long as you are a client and as long afterwards as the law requires.

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services that run this business — email delivery, scheduling, and payment processing — and only as needed to serve you.

You may ask for a copy of your information or ask us to delete your account by emailing book@blessednailsco.com. Some records, such as payment and consent records, must be kept where the law requires it.

16. Rewards, Codes and Promotions

Loyalty stamps are earned per booking. Five stamps earns $10 off; ten earns $20 off and the card resets.

A stamp is removed if the booking that earned it is cancelled or recorded as a no-show.

Discount codes and rewards have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for cash, cannot be combined with other offers unless stated, and are tied to the account they were issued to.

Promotional pricing applies only within the advertised window and only to the service advertised.

We may withdraw a reward or code obtained through misuse, duplicate accounts, or fraudulent reviews.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. The version in force for your appointment is the version you agreed to when you booked, and the date of that version is recorded with your booking.

Continuing to book after an update means you accept the updated terms for those future appointments.

18. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of New Jersey.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
